How to Play WESTERN MAX

Select a Game or choose a Quick Pick Package to begin. Quick Pick Package contents cannot be edited, but if you select a Game you can customize your purchase to add other Games.

With WESTERN MAX, you can set up to 5 plays per transaction and for an extra $5 per play, you can use these same numbers for Lotto Max. If you like, you can add another game to your purchase by selecting another game. Once you are ready, your options are to choose your own numbers or Quick Pick. With Quick Pick, your numbers are randomly selected for you.

Before you confirm your purchase, you can add EXTRA for $1 per play and the chance to win up to $250,000!

You can also set up a Lottery Subscription by selecting how many draws you would like to purchase. When you set up a Lottery Subscription, we will purchase your tickets for you before each draw and all you have to do is ensure you have sufficient funds in your account. Once you have purchased your ticket, it will save in your account and we will email you if you win! Check the My Tickets page at any time to view your tickets. If you win a Free Play on PlayNow, it will automatically be redeemed as a ticket for the upcoming draw.

Claiming Prizes $1,001 and over

For any prizes that are $1,001 and over, players are required to contact Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) to initiate the prize award process. This applies to any cash or cash equivalent prizes, including annuities and merchandise.

If you have a win $1,001 and over, you will be able to see the win in My Tickets and you will receive a courtesy email with instructions on how to claim your prize. You will not see the win in your Transaction History until the prize award process is complete.

How to Play

After you select a game and choose Quick Pick or Choose Numbers, then select your EXTRA. Select the drop-down next to the EXTRA logo and choose the number of EXTRA you wish to purchase. When you choose EXTRA, a seven-digit number is randomly generated and appears on your ticket.

Each EXTRA number costs $1 per draw. You can purchase one EXTRA number for every $5 LOTTO MAX purchase, $3 LOTTO 6/49 purchase, $3 DAILY GRAND purchase, $2 WESTERN MAX purchase, and $2 WESTERN 649 purchase.
