What is Multi-Factor Authentication?
An extra layer of protection for your account—designed to keep your login simple and safer.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is an added layer of security that helps protect your account—even if your password is compromised.
By verifying your identity with a second step, like a code sent to your email, MFA makes it easier to keep your information safe. It’s a simple way to enhance your login experience while keeping your account secure. We’ve upgraded login security on PlayNow to better protect your account. Multi-Factor Authentication is now automatically activated based on how you log in, and will only prompt extra verification when needed.
Benefits
Enhanced Log In:
Simpler password recovery with secondary identity verification.
Stronger Security:
MFA helps defend against possible phishing which can often rely on compromised passwords.
Improves Trust & Confidence:
Knowing your account is protected with an added layer of security provides peace of mind!
Increased Cyber Protection:
Stronger protection against bots, fraud, and suspicious account activity.
How to:
- Only if PlayNow asks for Multi-Factor Authentication will you need to enter a verification code.
- If you receive a request for MFA, a six-digit code will be sent to the email registered to your account. That code will be used to activate MFA.
- Enter the six-digit code when prompted to complete the process. This will also register your device as trusted, and you will not be prompted to authenticate again unless you are on a different device, or it’s an unusual login.
